Q: What types of visiting are allowed at the Racine County jail?
A: Video visitation visits will be allowed for all inmates unless they are on Discipline Status. Only inmates that are classified as minimum, Huber, Inmate Worker, and Community Worker will be allowed face to face non-contact visits (see the visiting schedule below)
Q: How do I schedule a video visit?
A: If you have access to the internet, you can register for a video visit at https://www.securustech.net/. If you do not have access to the internet, two video visitation scheduling stations are located in the LEC. One station is located inside the Main Street entrance. And the other station is located in the LEC public lobby, inside the Wisconsin Ave entrance. Once you set up an account that has been approved, you can schedule a visit on the same site.
Q: Where do I go after I schedule a video visit?
A: You can go to the video visitation public center, located inside the Main Street entrance. There are 6 video visiting stations located there. You will be allowed access to the center the date and time your visit is scheduled, if a station is available. There is no charge for using this room to video visit. You can also schedule a video visitation from off site (home, work, etc.), but there is a nominal fee.
Q: What other things do I need to know about the video visitation public center?
A: Only two visitors will be allowed at each station, at a time. One of the visitors must be 18 years old or older. Children count as a visitor. The center will be open 7 days a week, from 8 am to 11 am, 1 pm to 4:30 pm, and 6 pm to 9 pm. No cameras permitted during visiting. No exceptions! The following questions are about the face to face non-contact visits.
Q: How many days a week can you visit, and for how long?
A: Inmates are only allowed one 20 minute visit one day a week, depending on their location it would be Sunday. (See the visiting schedule) Only inmates that are classified as minimum, Huber, Inmate Worker, and Community Worker will be allowed face to face non-contact visits (see the visiting schedule below)
Q: Do you need to have an ID in order to visit?
A: Yes, you must have a photo ID.
Q: How many people can visit at a time?
A: Maximum 4, including infants and or children.
Q: Do minors need to be accompanied by an adult?
A: Yes.
Q: What time are inmates visits if they are still in intake?
A: Inmates do not receive a visit until they are moved upstairs and assigned to a floor. No cameras or cell phones permitted during visiting. No exceptions!
